Patriots News · Meet New Head Wrestling Coach Mark Sanker


Coach Sanker is entering his second year at Paulding County High School. Coach Sanker comes from a diverse background. He moved from New York with his family (wife Jenna, Jaxson, Madden and Jayce) in 2006. Coach Sanker wrestled in high school (All Section and Region) he had an opportunity to wrestle for a New York State University, however he decided on a different path. He is going into his eighteenth year of teaching and has coached for thirteen years. He has experience coaching wrestlers on all levels. He has prepared wrestlers on a national level to winning multiple State Championships.

Coach Sanker has been married to his beautiful wife Jenna for twenty-one years. Jaxson is his oldest son (nineteen years old and a South Paulding Graduate), Madden (sixteen years old and a sophomore at South Paulding High School) and Jayce (twelve years old and a seventh grader at Scoggins Middle School).

Coach Sanker strongly believes in continuing the tradition of instilling values, discipline and character.  Wrestling is a sport that requires a great amount of dedication, commitment, and perseverance.  When an individual earns the title of a wrestler, they have joined a community that lasts a lifetime.  The sport will enrich everyone differently. Coach Sanker will challenge and encourage each athlete to become an all-around individual and to succeed on and off the mat.
